The Challenge

CodeNinja builds web, mobile, and strategy solutions for growing businesses, but their positioning was buried in technical language. They needed to speak to decision-makers who care about brand and revenue, not sprint cycles.

The Gap

Most software agencies use the same template: list your services, show some past work, add a contact form. The sites look competent but forgettable. For a team that sells differentiation as a service, a generic website is a credibility-destroying contradiction.

The Brief

Reposition CodeNinja from a dev vendor to a strategic growth partner, lead with brand outcomes over technical capabilities, and build a clear CTA funnel from hero to contact.

Research & Discovery

Competitive Analysis

I audited four agency website archetypes to map how software agencies typically present themselves and where they consistently fail to convert decision-makers.

Toptal

Strong vetting narrative and brand authority. But positioned as a talent marketplace, not an agency partner, leaving clients to manage the work themselves. Different value proposition entirely.

Clutch-Listed Agencies

Reviews-first positioning that works for comparison shopping but rarely communicates a distinct strategic angle. The narrative defaults to "full-service" which signals everything and nothing.

Local Dev Shops

Template sites with services pages, a portfolio grid, and a contact form. Technically adequate but visually interchangeable. Price becomes the default decision variable when positioning is absent.

Freelance Platforms

Accessible and affordable, but the lack of brand presence signals risk for high-stakes projects. Decision-makers at growth companies need accountability, not just availability.

Brand Growth Framing

The hero leads with "elevating your company's brand and growth," not tech specs. This repositions CodeNinja from a vendor to a strategic partner, attracting higher value clients from the headline down.

4-Pillar Process Block

Explore → Design → Develop → Improve, a visible methodology that demystifies the engagement. Clients understand what working with CodeNinja looks like before they ever send a message.

Work Portfolio Section

Three selected projects displayed as image cards with role tags and short descriptions, giving prospects concrete proof without overwhelming them with a scrollable gallery.

Process

How it came together

01

Brand Positioning

Identifying the shift from "we build software" to "we elevate your brand through software," a strategic reframe that unlocked the entire visual and copy direction.

02

UI Strategy

Dark palette with amber highlights. Clean type hierarchy. A visual rhythm that moves fast without feeling rushed, built for executives who scan before they read.

03

Service Architecture

Four services laid out as a scannable grid: Web Development, Mobile Apps, UI/UX Design, Digital Strategy, each with an icon, heading, and single line of proof.

04

Build & Launch

Responsive development with a clean footer, contact details, and social links. A CTA that reads "Start a Project," a forward leaning ask that mirrors their growth first positioning.

Results

Impact

4

Core services clearly scoped, no ambiguity about what CodeNinja delivers

3

Portfolio case cards proving real-world delivery across web, apps, and strategy

Delivered

Completed and delivered; "Start a Project" CTA built to attract high intent inbound

CodeNinja's new site does what a good agency site should: it repositions the team as business partners, not just builders. Decision-makers arrive and immediately see a team that understands brand, growth, and results.
